The lid latch is one of those parts you only think about when it is missing: According to Storz & Bickel, it secures the lid to the base of the cooling unit, holding both halves together. Suitable for MIGHTY and CRAFTY, including the Plus versions – as a replacement for a damaged or lost latch.

What the lid latch does

Your vaporizer's cooling unit consists of several parts that must sit tightly together during use. The latch performs exactly this task: It connects the lid to the underside and ensures that the unit does not come apart on its own during use. Without it, the construction no longer stays together – a small component with an immediate impact on usability.

A typical wear part

Because the latch is moved every time the cooling unit is opened and closed, it is one of the parts that can wear out over time. Such a small part can also easily get lost during cleaning. That is why keeping a replacement part in a drawer is a sensible precaution: It costs little and keeps you from being unable to close your cooling unit securely because of a minor issue.
