DynaVap VapCaps – The Cap, The Captive Cap & Low Temp Captive Cap

With the DynaVap VapCaps, we control the heat and get the familiar click feedback – from the classic The Cap and the securely seated The Captive Cap to the Low Temp Captive Cap for flavor-focused sessions. We select the variant as a product option and build our setup exactly the way we use it.

Variants at a glance (differences explained quickly)

• The Cap (Standard) – the classic DynaVap Cap made of medical-grade stainless steel with a click and integrated digger. It is easy to put on and remove and provides the familiar heating behavior.
• The Captive Cap – with two side indentations that hold the Cap on the Tip while allowing it to rotate freely for even heating – very convenient in everyday use.
• Low Temp Captive Cap – like the Captive Cap, but designed for lower click temperatures. It clicks earlier, delivers cooler vapor and is gentler on the material – recognizable by its own logo.

Compatibility

• Compatible with all DynaVap Tips except the Hyper Tip (e.g. M-Series, VonG, WoodWynd).
• Not compatible with the larger Hyper Tip (HyperDyn). For the Hyper Tip, please use the Hyper Cap / Thermal Hyper Cap.
• Can be used on a Waterpiece as usual – the Cap determines the click behavior, while the Tip/Stem determines airflow & connection.

Use & practical application

We fill the Tip, put on the selected VapCap, heat it with a Jet-Flame or induction heater and wait for the click. Then we draw, let it cool until the second click and start the next cycle if needed. In practice, we notice: Captive sits more securely while rotating, while the Low Temp Captive produces slightly earlier clicks – perfect for flavor-focused, gentler draws.

Which variant is right for us?

• We want the classic: The Cap – familiar behavior, flexible, quick to change.
• We like a snug fit & everyday practicality: The Captive Cap – the Cap stays on the Tip more securely, and handling feels “more substantial.”
• We prioritize flavor & milder hits: Low Temp Captive Cap – earlier clicks, shorter heat cycles, gentler on terpenes.
